Whats Next?

Finally I have an answer.

Again this has been something I started off somewhere around 2001 and then left it there.

Even before Passenger!

Always had a feeling this is gonna be my next. Was juz trying to make sure whether it still excites me the way it did years before.

Started reworking on the script and I am super excited.

I feel its a movie which should be made.

Wanna finish the first draft and then go from there.

Again hope that I can find the right people to work on this.

Inshah Allah!

  1. All the Best Boss…
Show that talent again..Don’t be carried away with the pressure of expectations..I am not a person to give advises. But a common man waiting for another masterpiece from the talented director of Malayalam Cinema.
I expect that would be a Psycho thriller ..something like “Psycho”

  3. Sure thanks prasanth.

There is no pressure of expectations.:)

  4. now u r not a newcomer people expect something from plz don’t leave us in a vain .wish u all the best from heart

  5. Cool !!! So this is for 2010 ? Great. Im already excited 😀
and yeah, we all wish you work with the right people! All the best !

  6. Renjith,
Good luck man. I expect a good one from you- now you have credibility its easy to get the backing from good producers and distributors. Keep your casting simple (dont go for super stars)and keep the story line moving. The Good Lord will guide you.

  7. Hi Ranjith,

Suraj here, saw Passenger today. Youo show promise in debut movie. Your narration style has freshness in it, and moreover, you are true to the subject and characters, and hasn’t tried to add any of the so called success formula tricks (there is not even Suraj Venjaramoodu in this movie). I think the movie would fall into the “thriller” genre, and not many Malayalam movies have been made in this genre without getting diluted by portrayals of super-heroism or hero’s tragic past or romantic adventures. Actually, Padmarajan’s Season is the only true Malayalam thriller that comes into my mind now.

Passenger completely belongs to the director(you), and the actors don’t have anything very challenging to do, except for just playing the kind of roles they have played many times, minus their gimmicks. Jagathi is the only exception, as his character doesn’t have any traces of comedy which we would have expected from him. In fact, the character of the home minister who personally supervises manhandling of reporters is a bit too stretched, and this would have become much noticeable if the character was not played by Jagathi but by any of the standard villains of Malayalam cinema like Sai Kumar or Siddique. Passenger is not fully devoid of cliches too – The “villains” creating a fully animated video of their proposed plans and presenting it to the minister is an example. But I think all that probably didn’t come in my way of marking Passenger as an interesting film that is worth a watch.

  8. Thanks All,
    Will try my best:)

  9. Hi Ranjith,

  12. Sure Asha.It will defenitely be script first and actors who suit the roles.

  13. Dear Brother,

” Passenger “… Really a Great work, words cant explain my excitement to see such a malayalam after a long interval. No i really meant it. I am really excited to see the real natural movements of all the characters in the movie. I am sure the real reason behind the mass acceptance of this is nothing else. Leaving a few things the film is just excellent. The reasoning of each characters actions are good and i expect to be excellent in the next film. I can see a great talent of presenting the matter and feel your ability to think from others point of view. So we expect miracles in malayalam film industry from you …… i would say please just dont disappoint us
